I saw this tour when it came to Miami Beach(Stephen Talkhouse). I had met Warren when Tom Dowd(friend) introduced us on the 1989 Allman Brothers Reunion Tour. I rode one of the tour buses from the hotel w/Tom Dowd and his wife at the time. Gregg Allman, Warren and Allen Woody were on the tour bus we took to the venue.(Meriwether Post Pavillion-Largo,MD) Warren is the most humble, down to earth, Southern gentleman you could ever meet. When I saw this tour @ The Talkhouse, I took a musician friend of mine. I saw Mick Taylor & Bobby Keyes sitting in the audience and told my friend I smelled a jam coming. Sure enough at the end of the set, Mick & Bobby got up to play. Warren played some wicked slide on a Blues jam number. Mick played slide also, with Bobby Keyes hittin' some tasty licks on his tenor sax. Warren absolutely killed it on the song, playing circles around Mick. After about 15 minutes, Mick quit before he was totally destroyed. My brother, my friend and I went upstairs w/Warren to his dressing room to hang out for a bit while Warren ate his dinner(hamburger). We talked for about 30 minutes and said goodbye.(he had to shower and change, head out on the tour bus for the next date) He's a fortunate man, who through his studies and playing, lived out his own dream to one day play as a member of The Allman Brothers Band. Come back and do a show in Miami, we miss you down here!! God bless you, Warren... Rob MacNeill

This is still one of the greatest sets on this website. I've listened to "I'll Be The One" so many times. Warren's voice is incredible, and his guitar tone is so beyond perfect. He is one of the greatest musicians alive. He is a unique songwriter, passionate singer and incredible guitarist.

Seeing Mule this Sunday (Nov. 16, 2008) in KC. First time to see JORGEN CARLSSON on bass. Was not aware that the change was about to happen, so I'm glad I saw Andy for the final time at Red Rocks before he left.

It really would be nice to here Warren play the songs from the "Tales of..." album. It is such an amazing example of his song writing ability. I've seen him hundreds of times with ABB, Mule, Phil....... and had the pleasure of meeting him many times. He is also a fine gentleman, evident by his lyrical insight, his social generosity, as well as his personal demeanor. He is without a doubt the torch holder of rock and roll blues guitarists. His work withh Gov't Mule has single-handedly kept the music of the 60's and 70's current and alivefor a new generation.
