Just jaw-dropping fabulous! He is touching all his chakras, "too late to stop now!"

That's called playing the band, and owning the stage. Without out-size amplification or lights, etc., I might add. Sure, he got it from James Brown, Wilson Pickett, etc....but you steal from the best and make it your own, which he definitely does here...and here...and here.... : )

Great audio! Particularly the bass. Who is playing bass? Thought I recognized Mr. Labes.

I'm a long time big Van Fan, BUT he's got that attitude right down there with the like of Bob Dylan; and I know of no other artist MORE self-involved, it's really all thru his career. Meaning Van COULD have been a MUCH more influential and accessible artist.

I've read books on Van Morrison but Mr. Graham's comments on Van's artistry summed up in 48 seconds what those books were not able to do in hundreds of pages. One legend to another!

How many people were on the bill for this show? So far you've posted video of Elvin Bishop, Sha Na Na, The Byrds and now Van. Must have been quite a marathon. Great to see this stuff - thanks!

when it was the music that mattered more than the staging...just a group of people getting together to experience great music in a great setting ....together in the music

This was recorded shortly after my friend Jef Labes joined Van's band. He's heard here on organ.
