Concert Summary

One of the most enigmatic songwriters of our time, Van Morrison first gained recognition as the lead singer of the Northern Irish band Them, writing their seminal 1964 hit "Gloria." When Morrison began pursuing his own career in the late 1960s, he began a long journey down one of the most idiosyncratic musical paths in history, becoming one of the most distinctive and influential vocalists in all of modern music. His synthesis of folk, blues, jazz, and Celtic influences is utterly unique. Although stylistically diverse, Morrison's greatest songs fall into two loosely defined categories. His…entire summary

Having seen lots of folks in the 60s and 70s in Calif, Van Morrison is one of those that I regret missing. His version of "Just Like a Women" is exceptional and brings me back to those times

I was reading a little about this concert and I saw that Ronnie Montrose played guitar. The same Montrose who passed away this week, no doubt. Listening to him jam with Van the Man may be an even better tribute than listening to "Rock Candy" with Sammy Hagar one more time.

Saw The Man at Univ. Buffalo's Clark Gym with 2,000 of my closest friends around this time. None better - took our minds off the damn war. Simply the best.

The quality of the recording and the performance cry out for commercial release. Is there any way I can buy a copy of this?

I'm so glad I found this on here! This has been one of my favorite tapes for many years. Starting off with my 2 favorite Van songs as well. The 'I've Been Workin' is hot! Nice to have it digitized and I'll finally be able to hear the end of the show that didn't fit on a cassette. Thanks Vault!
