Concert Summary

UFO had come a long way when they recorded this show for the King Biscuit Flower Hour in the spring of 1982. The band was promoting their Chrysalis LP, The Mechanix, which had found a home on many FM radio station playlists. Opening with the typical rocker "We Belong To The Night," singer Phil Mogg quickly leads the band into a weighty version of "Let It Rain," from The Mechanix. Not unlike Thin Lizzy (another popular UK hard rock band from this era), UFO were not very original, but they certainly were right…entire summary

We had like 3rd or 4th row center. We made a banner for UFO mechanix, threw it up to phil and they had it on the drum set the entire concert, then they gave it back to us at the end. This was a kwk radio presentation and banner contest, so we made a K-SHE 95 UFO banner instead hahaha. All banners were hanging around for the contest, ours was on the drums...AWESOME...We made the newspaper and kwk was not happy, hahahahah Yeah K-SHE ROCKS. UFO IS GREAT IN ST. LOUIS, MO. THIS IS THE CONCERT WE WERE AT AND IT ROCKED. I still have the newspaper article that mentioned our banner and I have the ticket stub to this concert and many more. KEVIN NODLAND YEAH BABY......
