Concert Summary

Originally founded by guitarist Jay Jay French, Twisted Sister began in Long Island in 1972. THeres a great cd of a hammersmith odeon show from this tour that includes thairexcellant cover of the Stones "Its only R&R" available-I saw them at the Living Room in Providence before they broke on MTV so noone knew theyd be in full makeup-talk about a shock! One heckler in the front row riled up snider so much he picked him up by the throat & started a song by punching him like a volleyball into the crowd -the guy was knocked senseless & did a rag doll cartwheel in mid air.I thought there would be a riot-2 tours later I met them in Boston & they werent even speaking to each other....How quickly the fickle hand of fortune is in the music biz.

the were such a contradiction, you listen to their albums then you go and see them live and this different animal was playing them live and you just couldn't hear the songs in the same way again, and they were great guys as well, always use to meet them at the hammersmith odeon and just around the corner at the pub, just regular guys until they hit that stage
