Concert Summary

At this point in Twisted Sister's career, they were still on their way to the top in the United States. But in the UK, where they had relocated from New York in search of a record deal, they were peaking with their highest-charting LP, You Can't Stop Rock and Roll, which became their first full-length release stateside. This brief set is made up of the title track from that record, as well as album cuts "We're Gonna Make It," "The Kids Are Back," and a cover of the Rolling Stones' "It's Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It)." Although this show predates hits like "I Wanna Rock" and…entire summary

Twisted Sister was the best live band in the clubs back in the late 70`s and early 80`s.I used to see them in places like Detroits in Port Chester N.Y. THE Soap Factory in N.J. Pebbles or the Hole in the Wall Glen Island Casino, all over the Tri-State Area.Thier early originals like Rock and Roll Saviors,Ladys Boy ,What you Don`t Know were killer.
Somehow when they made it they went too commercial metal for us early Twisted fans. But boy listening to them live brings back great memories man. I saw them at the Palladium in N.Y. before they had a record deal. They were the only band to sell out The Palladium without a record deal. What an amazing show. It`s good to be reminded I am still a SMF Sure-Nuff Glennyjoe

It's AJ Pero on drums, not Walt Woodward III.

Saw them several times at Zaffy's in Piscataway, NJ when their costumes looked like they were ripped off the linguerie rack at K-Mart. No matter how bad or boring your day was, their shows were a great way to regroup and make the following Monday not so bad. Anyone remember that they used to open their shows with "Disco Dies Tonight"? What a killer riff! I would love to hear this song on a cd of b-sides or outtakes. The opening riff was played on a VH-1 Behind the Music back in '00 or '01, but it was just a teaser. I know the song's subject matter is dated, but this song still deserves to be unleashed-just my opinion.
