Concert Summary

Following three astonishingly original album releases in the late 1960s, the original four members of Traffic went their separate ways, a mere two years after they began. Traffic's farewell album, Last Exit, which contained the underground hit, "Medicated Goo," would be released in 1969, but by then Steve Winwood was already off to form Blind Faith with ex-Cream guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.…entire summary

With the final verse missing, John Barleycorn makes no sense. I wonder why it was left off or maybe they hadn't finished the song yet? Curious.

I saw this lineup at The Shrine in L.A. I played usher and got in for free. I had seen the Mason version, but somehow this lineup had more of an impact on me. I was watching a three chambered heart beat!

i remember seeing a version of this lineup at the academy of music with steevy smoking on guitar but if i remember chris wood absolutely ruined the show bc he was so fkd up at one point yelling into the ny audience if anyone can do better come on up--all i recall though is that i was amazed at winwood's guitar playing only knowing him on piano and coming away feeling that he could play with anyone

This is the single greatest Traffic performance available. Coming the middle of a period of non-stop creativity and genre-shifting, this show is psychedlic/jazz/pop wonderfully executed at it's smiley faced best.

YESSS I was at this show , sitting way up in the rear of the balcony and it truly was a treasure of the most progressive music of the era at the premier showcase of the times. Wonderful songs, great musicianship and fantastic atmosphere and fans

HOEK: You can make it with three! A really great performance and good soundquality too. In my opninion is the bass played by the one who's on the organ, so Chris Wood is funky too!
