Part of a multi-night stint at New York's Bottom Line club in New York City recorded for broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour, this is another killer set from Oakland's Tower Of Power. The band, which emerged out of the San Francisco music scene in 1971, was already on its fourth lead vocalist and had seen numerous personnel changes by the time this show was captured. But the famous five-piece horn section of Lenny Pickett, Emilio Castillo, Stephen Kupka, Greg Adams, and Mic Gillette are intact, and that is driving force behind these tracks.

    Awesome as ever - a true national treasure and the baddest funkiest band in the world! And maximum respect to the much underrated Bruce Conte who was a stellar rhythm and lead player! Great to hear Barry F gettin' funky too! Pure joy!

    This is great! Multiple shows with Edward McGee, my favorite TOP vocalist (very underated), I never thought I would get the chance to hear a live show featuring him.

    this is great hearing Eddie Megee singing with the band, I had only heard him sing with the band on one album. I was actually fortunate enought to work in a band in Portland, Oregon with Eddie, and yes it was a horn band that did quite a few TOP tunes. It was fun working with Eddie but he moved on. Hello Eddie wherever you are
