Concert Summary

The crowd opens this show clapping and chanting before His Royal Highness, Mick Jagger and the legendary Rolling Stones take the stage for what would be one of the final shows on the band's 1981 Still Life tour. The band opens with their classic 1966 single "Under My Thumb" (only the Stones could have gotten away with singing such a chauvinistic song), then blasts into "When The Whip Comes Down." After introducing himself to the crowd, Jagger leads the Stones into another gem from the past: "Let's Spend The Night…entire summary

I was a freshman in college when the Stones played the Fox Theater (4678-seat auditorium) in Atlanta, October 26, 1981. Pretty much the same set list. Tattoo You was the album. The Stray Cats opened the show. Small, intimate venue. I wish I could remember the girl's name I went to the show with because she was a photography student and took some really awesome shots. We had 26th row tickets and got to move up to 13th row because our seats were taken by the sound board location. Damn, it was rocking!

This was supposed to be their farewell tour! I would have liked to see the J.Geils Band at the Silverdome but Santana ROCKED! I remember Iggy too... it was the first time I heard anybody boo a band on stage....BUT HE DIDN'T LEAVE!!!

Great show...biggest I've ever been to. I remember Santana played the middle slot and Detroit's own Iggy Pop ended up getting booed of the stage before his opening set was done.

A great show! I was on the field in front of the stage. A lot of pushing and shoving as everyone crowded toward the stage. People fought over Charlie's drumsticks when he threw them in the crowd at the end of concert.

Thank you for the chance to relive 27 years ago when me and my brother drove up with the girl next door (my date) and DW my brothers friend. We park across the street from the Silver Dome at the TORO mower lot.It was a Ruby Tuesday if I remember right. The stage was gaint and Mic ran all over. Former OFA founder

Remember this one well. My ears rang for 3 days afterward. Got a total buzz without even lighting up.
