What we have here is that particular sequence, which begins with a smoldering groove on Waters' rarely played original, "Clouds In My Heart." Muddy too plays guitar on this one. You can't miss hearing his genuine style around 4:05.

Bill Graham was from New York and mainly listened to Latin music, like Tito Puente. He learned about other rock and blues artists from the musicians who played the Fillmore, Mike Bloomfield in particular. Bloomfield made Graham aware of Muddy Waters, BB King and others, and Graham booked those artists on Bloomfield's recommendation.

There is this radio interview I heard where Mike Bloomfied claims to be the person who first told Bill Graham about Muddy Waters. Prior to that, Graham had never heard of Muddy.

This concert is outstanding in every way. I am reminded of the skill and passion the band possessed. Even now after so many years since Michael and Paul have passed their musical genius lives on. My sincere thanks for reminding us how fine the blues can be played. Appreciatively, Allen Bloomfield

Saw PBBB at Cafe Au Go Go a couple of times in "66. Best live blues ever seen to this date, and I've seen hundreds of blues shows by most of the great bluesmen and bands. They were also the first live blues I ever saw. I was 16. Great to hear this smokin' set!
