The group had enlisted bassist Franklin Wilkie to fill his shoes, and despite a few more chart hits, the Southern rock craze that had helped define rock in the 1970s, was starting to wane. A dip in popularity would eventually hit, but came much later for this popular American band since it had built a large and loyal following.

Opening with "Fire On The Mountain," the group runs though a mix of…entire summary

Me, and the boys (8 of us), we had our beers a restin on the stage while MTB rocked and rocked in the early 80’s at the Universal Amphitheater, when it was an open outdoor theater. It’s a concert I’ll never, ever forget! Then we stopped at In & Out Burger for a Double-doubles afterwards.

I saw MTB at least 15 times in the 70/80's and once a few years ago not really the MTB anymore but it's cool Doug's tryin' to keep it alive. This is a GREAT recording -- I can picture Toy playin' every note with his thumb on his Les Paul. Dougs voice was always best in concert when just he'd let fly. Even has a few good George McCorkle riffs. The first time I saw MTB was in 1973 in Tampa - they opened for the Doobie Brothers - I'm 54 now and I still play them a few times a week. This huge, timeless talent. This should be mandatory listening for every young rocker/guitar player. I completely agree that they should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Yes I agree H.O.F. for sure....But I seen them twice this summer Once in Oshkosh then Milwaukee for the 105th. And unless Doug Grays voice dont get any better ( from his sugery) they should hang it up!! That great voice was sad! He IS the voice of M.T.B. anything else is a cover band!!
