The Incredible String Band

The Incredible String Band emerged from the Scottish club circuit in the mid-1960s with a quirky blend of bluegrass and Celtic folk. With their unusual appeal, the Incredible String Band was a highly influential band of the '60s with the likes of Robert Plant and the Rolling Stones citing them as cultural references. The height of the ISB was from '62 to '72 when their live shows mixed psychedelic folk music with mime and improvisational theater and entertained endless audiences of chemically-fueled fans.
