Originally the Four Aims, the group changed their name to the Four Tops to avoid confusion with the Ames Brothers. Signed to Motown in '64, the quartet began a chart-topping journey that would include a string of hits including "Baby I Need Your Loving," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugarpie Honeybunch)" and "Same Old Song."
