Concert Summary

The epicenter of country music had been Nashville for decades, but by the late 1960s it was Los Angeles that was becoming a magnet for young musicians devoted to bringing country music into a modern rock context. Buffalo Springfield and the Byrds both flirted with country music early on, as had other rock musicians to a lesser extent, but it was the Flying Burrito Brothers who dove completely in. They initially followed the lead of primary songwriters and lead vocalists, Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman, two ex-Byrds, whose musical vision culminated in the groundbreaking album, The Guidedentire summary

Rain ain't the Beatles and without Gram and Chris, this ain't The Flying Burrito Brothers, although Sneaky Pete Kleinow (R.I.P.) always shined.

I love the Burritos and I'm totally open to liking something that was recorded during the Gib Guilbeau era of the band. I've heard some of their stuff on the Relix label that was pretty good. I't aint Gram and It's not Chris, but Sneaky Pete is a master and always worth a listen. And that's why I listened to this. In my opinion, this stuff sucks.

these guys are not the Burritos. The Burritos ended when Chris Hillman split up the band in late 71. They should have called themselves The refried Tomales or something appropriate.

Sorry but this is not the Burritos.

The lineup Is Sneaky Pete Kleinow, Gib Guilbeau, Thad Maxwell, Bobby Cochran and Mickey McGee. They later changed their name to Sierra and released an eponymous LP in 1977.

This is probaly Gib, Skip, Sneaky, Joe Scott. and Gene Parsons, although they not was at part af the original I think they did a god job to try too continiou the band, and they was a much better live band band than the originual FBB, primeary because Gram Parsons, sloopy unconcius, things got a lot better when hw was fired and Chris took ower, the "Last of The Last Red Hot Buritto" is in my opinnion a very god album, whit great musicins, just want to say now that Sneaky and Mickael. Skip is gone let the band rest in pease an good bless Chris Hilmann for his old band and his continuing great mucic, he deserve great credit, my best whiches for Chris and hope he?l come to Denmark soon, best with DRB regret that never heard them live. Gert Denmark
