Concert Summary

Although rock 'n' roll musicians like Buffalo Springfield and The Byrds also flirted with country music, The Flying Burrito Brothers were really the first to dive in completely. Their influence cannot be underestimated. The body of work they left behind was a virtual blueprint for countless other groups as well as much of modern country music today.

That Gram Byrds show from Rome isn't worth listening to. It's in really bad quality unfortunately. I know of no other Gram/Byrds boots that do that line-up justice.

Wow this set is absolutely perfect, their vocals and rhythm section is tight and spot on. But what did me in was the fact that Kleinow is at his most psychedelic tonight and playing out of his mind. The audio quality is really good too which makes me very happy. If there was to be a statement of the original vision of the Burritos in concert, this would be it.

I wanna hear Gram Parsons in that Byrds show from Italy that has been floating around...

The song Wild Horses was according to Richards already written before he met Gram. Which would mean he did NOT write the song for the burritos. Gram liked it so much that he asked if he could record it and it's on "burrito deluxe" so there you go.

rickie lee yes it's true. Richards originally wrote the song mainly for the Burritos to sing. However, eventually the Stones thought the song was so good that they recorded it to.
