The Doobie Brothers had just undergone a major musical change when this recording was made for the King Biscuit Flower Hour at the Spectrum in Philadelphia in 1976. Founding member Tom Johnston had departed during the recording of 1975's Stampede to address his personal health problems, and during the transition they recruited Steely Dan guitarist Jeff Skunk Baxter.     They definitely had issues with the sound; which isn't that common for King Biscuit. Usually concerts that sound like this don't make it to the air :) Classic Doobie form, though, this was a great show.

    I listened to the whole show GREAT show. Some parts gets a little low and then it goes back to normal again. For a 32 year old show it's worth a listen. 5/5

    Hey DooBro, I have plenty of good taste in music. With over 2000 cd's of great music in my collection (including over 750 bootlegs) I think maybe you should keep your personal comments to yourself. I didn't say that this show sucks. I only commented on the poor sound quality on half of the show. This has nothing to do with taste in music. This is still a great show and I will listen to it often.
