18 years old, 20 plastic bottles of soon to be warm beer, couples frolicking in their sleeping bags, a day of unbelievably great music - especially the Doobie Brothers. It was the best!

What a concert!!! Friend gave me some mild acid....I remember Marlon Brando and John Brodie (former 49er QB)brought out to say something. I missed Woodstock...was on tour in Vietnam but this was as close as I ould probably ever get....the performers that kept on coming out with the "special guest" Bob Dylan at the end....the place literally exploded!!

That was a really GREAT day! From when the Dead (billed as Jerry Garcia and Friends) brought out the sun during their Blues for Allah instrumental, and also got more people up on their feet during a jam than at any other time of the day, to Neil Young, Dylan and the Band finishing up the day just before the rains came again. The Doobies were fantastic in the middle there while the sun was shining and people were groovin' to the day. I hadn't really heard much of the Doobies at that time, but boy oh boy did China Grove rock. Still does

Oh My God - I remember this concert! Our High School (Antioch,CA) had won a radio contest for free tickets and I got a pair! My first real concert. I've seen their changes, reunions, and just saw them again a few months ago in the Bay Area and they are STILL one of my favorite bands even THIRTY-THREE YEARS LATER!

Great band still! Fun to see live although were running out of orginal memebers fast. TJ and Pat still have the chemistry. Will see them alive again this year-RC

back in the day i never really cared for these guys. i really can't say why. maybe it was too much to do with commercial radio. now that i'm an old fart they sound great to me. and people say people don't change. maybe people don't change, but our likes and dislikes seem to. at least mine do. great show, great band. it's nice to hear this stuff. peace, jim
