Once more. Now that I knew it was Jimmy Hall, I looked here for Jimmy live in Nashville, and sure enough, its here. I have found my long lost song. I have been looking for so many years, and it seems like the wonderful people here at the Vault have heard me. Thank you so much WV, you are incredible. Again, aint it great to have a site that listens to its listeners?

By the way, if anyone is interested in the song I was talking about, it is here----http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/jimmy-hall/concerts/nashville-january-30-1982.html

Holy Crap. As I continued strolling through concerts here on WV, just a few down on the list from this concert, they now have China. One song called Shootout in the Parking Lot. I remember this song as this was the first song when Charlie introduced China. And then they went into the next song, Sleeping on the Beach Tonight. So, I guess someone here heard me when I was looking for China. Aint it great to have such a wonderful website who listens to its listeners?

iplayatoy- Thank you very much for the info. I did a search of Hall's album, and sure enough, the song is on there. Now if I could just find a copy of the album, but then again, the song will probably be a nummbed version of what it was live. I still have the cassette tape of the concert I recorded from the radio, I guess I will have to dig out that tape and find some way to transfer it to digital. Sure wish Wolfgang's Vault could get more of the complete Volunteer Jams out. Best concert series ever in my opinion

To zillagod - I was at that Jam. I'm pretty sure that song was by Jimmy Hall on his Cadillac Tracks album.

Tommy Crain's Cumberland Mountain number 9, it does not get any better.

I remember recording a Volunteer Jam off the radio, and I am pretty sure it was this one. If this was the show that included Ted Nugent and Quarterflash, then this would be the one. I will never forget one song from a band called China, and the song was called Sleeping on the Beach Tonight. I have been continually looking for that song, but I guess China was just a local band that never made it big, but I was hoping to find that original radio broadcast of the Volunteer Jam. Dont know wether it was a King Biscuit, or a Source show, or what? That reminds me, wonder if Wolfgang's Vault can acquire the Source concerts from the past. There were some great shows broadcast there.

always a great live act, i feel we get a better deal over in england with the cdb because they were never a huge band so on their in- frequent visits you always use to see them up and personal in a tiny club that always made for a really fantastic atmosphere and great show
