I've got the boot of this concert and even though it was obviously sourced from a umpteenth gen VHS tape I still love it. Someone did replace the audio with a simulcast sourced from KSAN radio which seemed to be decent and, maybe, in stereo? I truly wish BGP would remaster this video, add the best available audio and sell a DVD of it. It is absolutely a great concert, we know the band was the real thing and it goes a long way as evidence that Ackroyd and Belushi were musical talents in which whatever lacked in ability was made up for in passion.

Blues Bros ~ greatest act on TV that I ever saw. Very popular here in the Twin Cities for many years. So sad that the group did not last as long as it should have due to the untimely death of John Belushi.

Sorry, but I found Paul Shaffer unwatchable then, and even more so now.

Notice that they said "from Rock Island, Illinois," not Calumet City. They were going to film part of the Blues Brothers here in my hometown of Rock Island but the city fathers thought it would give our esteemed town a "bad image." However, they completely endorsed Road to Perdition, which was loosely based on Rock Island's vicious killer and gangster John Looney. Go figure......Don Healy

Yet another great thing that night, and loved Bill showing "Animal House" before the show...and "breakfast at dawn"

I've loved this performance ever since I got it as a filler on a Dead cassette. Even as an umteenth generation recording I was hooked! Thanx for this one:)
