The Babys had been one of the most hyped bands to emerge from the English scene in 1976, and seemed to be headed for a long run atop the FM radio charts. Despite a few very big hits—including "Isn't It Time" and "Every Time I Think Of You," the band's momentum was eventually eclipsed by the popular new wave alternative scene championed by acts like Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, and…entire summary

i loved these guys and thought they had something special at the time and were going to be huge. They capture that time period perfectly. Still have a unique sound.

I saw the Babys opening for Journey twice and headlining at the Oakland auditorium circa 1980... classic high school memories! Everytime I think of you, California, Head First, Midnight rendezvous, I still listen to their music!

“The Babys emerged in 1975 from what was left of the U.K. punk movement.” Huh? How could you imply that the British punk scene was over when it had yet to produce the Sex Pistols or Clash, to name just the two greatest U.K. punk bands?

these guys were way cool...they just had a vibe about them...cool ass drummer, simple but very powerful guitar playing, and Johns voice had a certain quality that has yet to be matched...too bad they were so short lived...what ever happened to the other two guys?

A 30-minute snapshot into a fascinating period of this band's evolution....too bad it is only the opening set. The Baby's were hitting their stride in 1979...only to collapse a few albums later. This is a fine slice of their legacy.
