Was at this concert and it was beyond belief. yea I remember the guys dancing in diapers on stage at midnight. I had one fine woman on my arm. She was so beautiful to look at from head to toe. so fine. She had a smile that lit up any room she entered. and that was just the outer shell. inside she was so warm and beyond words. We were with a group of really close friends. We had great weed. and the women they brought in the drink. B G as always put together a great New years eve concert. and the Allman Bro's brought it all together. As always they gave it all they had. and that was great southern Rock to welcome in a new year. The year that fallowed was for me a continuation of that night like one really long encore building towards the climatic end. I have seen the Allman Brothers Band probably more than any other band.

I saw the Brothers in '71, at what I believe was their first show after Duane died. Hoffheinz Arena in Houston, Texas - and the date has faded into the mists of the past. Show opened with John Mcloughlin's Mahavishnu Orchesta, then came Doctor John, The Night Tripper, and the arena was rife with rumors that the Allmans were, or were _not_, gonna play. But they took the stage and i recall Greg saying: "Well, we're gonna try to play 'em all....."! And what I remember is that they DID!!! Long live the ABB!!! BC - Austin, Texas
