Concert Summary

Ted Nugent was deep into his "Wildman of Rock 'N' Roll" image when he played this show on April 20, 1984, while on a tour co-headlining with Humble Pie. Though the latter group had only recently been reformed, with only Steve Marriott and Jerry Shirley remained from the original lineup, the tour was still highly anticipated. More than anything, it allowed Nugent to play most nights in front of audiences that previously had had only limited exposure to his music and flamboyant…entire summary

Les ann?es 80 ne sont pas les meilleurs de Ted...les concerts lors des 70 sont nettement plus furieux.

What a killer show, love the albums Ted did on Atlantic records. Some of his best stuff. I only wish this show was released as a live album. Blazzing guitar work. Great stuff Ted!!!

That riff at the beginning of the Tied Up in Love track is an absolute blaze of mind blowing guitar mania!!!

I was at this show, it was my very first concert.

Probably the lowest point in Nugents career. Who would expect a keyboard solo at a Ted concert? Some great riffs poorly executed. Nugent at this point was listening to too many outsiders trying to change his sound.

I hate Ted Nugent's politics. That aside, I generally like his music, especially those guitar riffs. This one is a disappointment, however. Overproduced and boring.

Hmmm...Definitely playing tracks from Penetrator, but I believe Humble Pie was in limbo in 1984 so the editor's summary is suspect. HP did co-headline in 1980 ("On To Victory") when Ted did the Tarzan thing routinely. The '84 tour I remember as being more low-key, with the entire band in bluejeans and other normal clothing that is. The '84 Los Angeles stop was serious rock and roll all the way.
