Record Plant Acquisition, April 27, 2007


Comprehensive collection of historical audio recordings add to Concert Vault's premier catalogue

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 27, 2007) -- Wolfgang's Vault, the world's premier online site for live rock concert performances and memorabilia, announces its acquisition of concert recordings, as well as all associated intellectual property and copyrights from the "Live at the Record Plant" radio series, originally broadcast on progressive rock FM radio in the early 1970s. The concerts include performances by legendary artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Peter Frampton, Fleetwood Mac, Boz Scaggs and Santana.

The "Live at the Record Plant" series presented live concert broadcasts originating from the Record Plant recording studios. Typically performed and broadcast on Sunday nights, the show became an institution for rock fans throughout California.

"We had such a scene at the studios on Sunday nights," recalls Chris Stone, co-founder and owner of the Record Plant studios in Sausalito, Los Angeles and New York at the time of the broadcasts. "I was going through some memorabilia and found this collection. Since this has been in storage since way before the Internet, I realized we had something that is quite unique."

Wolfgang's Vault is in the process of carefully restoring the recordings and will be releasing the entire series at its Concert Vault website ( First concerts are scheduled for release in May 2007. All shows in the series will be available to listen to via free online streaming, and will also be available for purchase and download for $9.98 per concert.
