Dinky Dawson's legendary audio collection enhances the ever-growing Concert Vault catalogue

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 27, 2007) -- Wolfgang's Vault, the world's premier online site for live rock concert performances and memorabilia, announces its acquisition of the Dawson Sound audio archives, as well as all related intellectual property and copyrights. This collection includes live concert recordings from artists such as the Kinks, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jeff Beck, Lou Reed, Warren Zevon and others.

Prior to founding Dawson Sound, Dinky Dawson was the lone roadie and soundman for the original incarnation of Fleetwood Mac. After moving to the U.S., he became one of the most sought-after audio engineers in the 1970s, and was commissioned to work with many of rock's elite, providing full stage sound engineering and services for tours. He has chronicled his adventures in his book Life On The Road.

Says Dawson, "My collection of audio recordings span one of the most important and influential eras in rock 'n' roll, and Wolfgang's Vault is ensuring that these works will be made available to the public. Now you'll be able to sit back and feel the moment."

Wolfgang's Vault is in the process of carefully restoring the recordings and will be releasing the collection at the Concert Vault website. All shows in the series will be available to listen to via free online streaming, and will also be available for purchase and download for $9.98 per concert.

Wolfgang's Vault was recently hailed by the Wall Street Journal as "the most important collection of rock memorabilia and recordings ever assembled in one business." At visitors can find, browse and purchase poster art, vintage t-shirts, concert photos, concert tickets and other rock music memorabilia while they listen to rare, never-before-heard recordings of live concerts featuring Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen and many others. Wolfgang's Vault was founded in 2003 with the acquisition of the personal archive of legendary promoter Bill Graham and is housed in a 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco.
