WOLFGANG'S VAULT PURCHASES THE CLASSIC POSTERS COLLECTION, ADDING DIVERSITY AND DEPTH TO EXISTING INVENTORY

The diverse assortment of poster art rounds out the Vault's collection

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 18, 2005)--Wolfgang's Vault, the world's premier online site for live concert music and memorabilia, announces its acquisition of assets from the rock and roll memorabilia company, Classic Posters. Included in the purchase is all merchandise owned by the company, including rock posters, handbills, flyers and postcards. The Classic Posters inventory is hugely diverse and complements the Vault's rapidly expanding archive.

The purchase includes complete Bill Graham, Bill Graham Presents and Fillmore poster series and smaller, more collectible poster runs including the Austin, Texas-based Armadillo World Headquarters series, the Vancouver-based Retinal series, and the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based series, the Ark. The collection features the complete Grande Ballroom poster series and many signed Bob Masse posters, plus a huge collection of poster art from prolific contemporary artists Mark Arminski and Derek Hess. Additionally, the Classic Posters acquisition contributes a great number of punk-specific venues and artists, important and significant niches to the Vault's archive.

Classic Posters is owned and operated by Michael Erlewine, a Michigan resident and longtime player in the music industry. He was active in the 1950s folk scene before going on to join the blues band Prime Movers in the late '60s. In addition to Classic Posters, Erlewine also founded the free online database, All Music Guide.
