ArtRock's vast collection of music memorabilia supplements the Vault's archive
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 11, 2003)--Wolfgang's Vault, the world's largest collection of live concert music and memorabilia and home to the archive of legendary music promoter Bill Graham, announces the acquisition of assets from ArtRock, a leading dealer in rock and roll collectibles. Included in the purchase are huge quantities of poster art from the Family Dog, Bill Graham, Fillmore East, New Fillmore, BGP, and BGP Special Events poster series, plus rare postcards, handbills and tickets. The assets included in this acquisition enhance the already extensive collection of poster art available at Wolfgang's Vault.
ArtRock president Philip Cushway has collected and studied posters for 30 years and is considered an expert in the industry. The company boasts an exceptional collection of rock and roll memorabilia and features special exhibits at its walk-through gallery in San Francisco. In addition to the series posters acquired by the Vault, ArtRock's inventory includes rare originals and concert posters from bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, and the Grateful Dead.
