My wife and I were at this show. Man, this was the best that Styx ever was. I saw several of the subsequent tours. The scale was bigger but the music was never better or more rockin' than this. We were at the '76 concert too. Check it out.

Back in the day when bands could play live w/o tapes-improvisation is tremendous by the guitar players.70's was the heart & soul of live rock-modern rock pales by comparison

Seen them at the Michigam State Fair Gounds on 8 miile rd.late 70's. It took me and a buddy of mine half the show but we pushed are way up to the front, right in front of JY. (Oh yeah, jumped the fence to get in and was chased by guards but made it! Dam, sure did some crazy things back when, anyways) Show was so tight i thought they were playing it from the record at times. Never will forget that one. Great concert.

I've seen Styx in concert every year they've been in the DC area for the past 20 years and will see them every year until one of us is unable to do so - they have always been amazing and only get better and better - Chuck coming on stage at the shows is icing on the cake.

Arg! Why isn't this show available for download?!? It's so hard to find Styx shows, particularly from 1978 & even moreso from 1979! A fun listen though.

Couldn't agree more with touche99....so happy they returned to England on this tour. What can you say but pure joy to have been there. Go On Finney, get yourself a ticket next time!
