Concert Summary

Few groups that established themselves in the 1960s survived the transition into the 1970s better than the Steve Miller Band. Like Steve on acoustic but with his electric guitar and band much much more rocking.

and what control over his voice....besides being such a smoking rhythm and lead player, and having a band that'd follow him over any musical terrain at any tempo, his voice is stunning!

Thanks to whomever taped this show, it is such a great memory. This was one of the most incredible concerts I ever saw and I've seen hundreds. Miller was just incredible, and let loose on the guitar and was really having obvious fun. I was sitting upstairs on the edge of the balcony until the last part and came down and stood right next to the stage. One interesting point was how Steve just blew the audience away. There was lots of applause at the end of "Living", but listen to the end of the encore-almost quiet. We all just sat there stunned by it all. No one really moved for the doors for awhile, it was just so awesome, people who were talking were just saying "wow". An incredible performance words can't explain.
