Concert Summary

YEE-HAW!! Too rock 'n' roll for Nashville, too country for most rock radio, but not quite swift enough to stay out of jail, Steve Earle defies easy categorization in almost every way. He's a Virginia-born, Texas-bred good ole boy notorious for his radical politics (including strong opposition to the death penalty); a high school drop-out who's written books and plays; and a scary, formerly drug-addled hillbilly that ROCKS!

Earle came up at a time when some of the most talented songwriters in country music were being…entire summary

even though Steve is a douche-bag in his assinine politico horse manure, he's one helluva songwriter and musician/singer,,,,,,but his other crap makes me wanna bitchslap his jughead a 360. GUITAR TOWN was one of the best debut's ever.

Great find of a concert, catching Steve in Leeds UK in November 09, Townes his latest album is well worth a listen, particularly if it turns you onto his mentor, the much missed and under rated Townes Van Zant.

Don't know where i had been( maybe lost in the 60's!) but just discovered Steve Earle last year, and love his attitude and all his stuff.Saw him recently at the Pageant in St. Louis and he is coming back this month. It is a great small venue and Steve rocks all by himself!!!Glad he came out on the other side of the darkness.

I saw Steve in concert a few years ago and was gald to see that he's been churning them out in his rockabilly way. A hundred years ago, when I was growing up in Tennessee, Copperhead Road was somewhat of a theme song for those of us living in the sticks of the Smokies. I like this concert here as well, it reminds me of those days and he speaks for a lot of the displaced Southerners stuck in other parts of the country.
