Sparrow is the original name of Steppenwolf when they were based in Canada. The Nicholas on bass, Mars Bonfire on guitar, and Jerry Edmonton on drums. The group toured and recorded without success and eventually broke up, reforming under the name Steppenwolf (inspired by the Hermann Hesse novel) in 1968.
