During this time, keyboard player Chuck Leavell, bassist Lamar Williams, and drummer Jai Johanny Johanson…entire summary

I was first told about this band by a guitarist from North Carolina who was raving about them. I then saw this band with this musician line-up at the Tampa Theater and still believe it to be one of the best concert experiences I had ever enjoyed. They played so soulfully and with such style and ability the material really resonated with the gulf coast night air. It is a pleasure to find some of their shows on WV.

These guys were so good in all of the incarnations. It took me a long time to find them here..but what great shows these are. Glad that R. Bramblett is still putting out such great music. If you have not had a chance to keep up with he and Davis, you are really missing it. I saw Sea Level in Peoria, IL when I was in college. Just the original four members and what a fine show. I was music starved up there being from the south, but it was so worth the drive from Davenport, IA to see the show in a little club. Wolfgang, thanks for all that you have done. I just wish I could download these shows!

I am just in awe of the history/compilation/recordings/etc./etc/ect Wolfgang has here. The fact that such a freaking under-appreciated group as Sea Level could find it's way on this site; is OFF the charts!!! This band, like the Pousette-Dart Band, just to name another obscure heaveyweight, were the essence of early-mid 70's 'cool jam' chillin' music that I am glad today, someone turned me on to, many years ago. THANK YOU, Wolfgang........whoever the "F" you are??? :)- P.S........I got a challenge for you Wolf? How about finding some archival concert footage of Terrence Boylan? "Shake it Baby" is the hit he had, or wrote......that is NOT indicitative of Boylan's body of work.......his music fits this genre and might be no less than "even" if it all gets weighed out at the end? Thank you very much for such an awesome site and incredible music. You are LOVED, Wolf

excellent stuff , great hearing jimmy nalls in full flight , hear he is going to do some recording again with my good friend miranda louise , nashvilles queen of the blues , what a great voice she has , they go back a long way with blues co op, with warren haynes, should be something real good , mirandas new album "sure cure for the blues" reached #15 in the cash box charts , has Jimmys old friend Jack Pearson on guitar , another fantastic player , Regards from Scotland

Highly above Great musicians who never played in Europe I think. Randall Bramlett for his songwriting and vocals is the real genius making great cds. Of course Chuck Leavell is a great versatile musician in his own right. The three shows are a great reminder of a unique band. Underrated by too many. I wish Randall Bramlett would come over to Amsterdam and take Chuck and others as surprise guests on a Sea Level reunion on New Amsterdam Level = sea level in Holland. Paradiso would be Paradise.
