Scorpions

Air, hair and Germans make a delightful combination for a live show. That melting pot created the top dogs of monster rock: the Scorpions. The quintet of German rockers was formed in 1969 and proceeded to whip up a pop/metal smoothie consisting of hits like "Rock You Like a Hurricane" and "Wind of Change." The Scorpions stung a hefty fan base with record sales in the 22-million range and continue to release albums into their fourth decade as a group.
