My favourite band of all time since 1982,they still rock after all these years! This show's great!I have few bootlegs but i didn't know that one. Do you know if there are more bootlegs from the early 80's i can find somewhere?

I was at that show in Long Beach. I was probably 15 or 16 years old. What a kick ass show. All three bands totally rocked, but Saxon was awesome. I'll never forget when they played "The Eagle Has Landed" and the fog machine was running fog off of the stage. Great band!

I saw Iron Maiden/Saxon/Fastway at the Long Beach Arena 1983. This was the Piece Of Mind Tour (the year before Live After Death concert). Saxon had just put out Power And The Glory and Fastway was touring their first album. It was the GREATEST CONCERT EVER at the best metal concert hall ever! I immediately went and bought every Saxon album after that show. Thanks for still carrying the torch Biff!

I was wondering when you were going to post some Saxon. My brother introduced me to them when they were called Son Of A Bitch, And I've followed them ever since! Unfortunately, I've never been able to catch them live which bites! Ah well, That's what i get for living in Oregon! Hope you post some more Saxon, Wolfgang, This was a real treat!

What an outstanding slice of NWOBHM history! Saxon classics played with the urgency that they had in the early 80s. Great concert from a fantastic band; I have always regretted not having caught them live.

I caught Saxon on this tour and Charles nailed it- they kicked ass and rocked the joint in Columbus, Ohio. I interviewed all the guys after their opening (for UFO, I believe) back at the downtown Holiday Inn. They were eating Domino's pizza along with Coke! Very friendly and fun guys. Quinn talked about seeing Hendrix play in London back in '69 when he was a young teenager.
