Description

Bill Graham Presents promoter pass stock, hand-stamped and given to bands, crew, family and associates.

Santana's Blues for Salvador tour played the Greek Theatre two days after Cinco de Mayo and featured Santana's band plus Latin jazz-pianist Eddie Palmieri. The artwork depicts the Aztec myth of Cuidad de Mexico's founding, which is also found on the Mexican flag. Cinco de mayo is often confused with Mexican Independence Day, but commemorates instead the day, much later, when local farmers in Puebla repulsed a French re-invasion.

The backstage is a fortress, each inner door demanding a further credential of access. Also known as silkies or satins, backstage passes were the first created insignia of such privilege. WV's collection of passes carry the credentials to get one from the fan-club after-show all the way to center-stage.
