There's something about summer reading lists. They almost always contain must-reads, but they are also supposed to contain page-turners... books that, while not being the most challenging literary content you've feasted your eyes on, are highly entertaining without being too heavy on the thinking. It's summer for crissakes, and that means taking a standard break from life.

It’s that time again… Noise Pop time! The best thing about this festival is that when you really begin to dig through the schedule you realize that there are talented, up-and-coming bands to be experienced each and every night. That’s what this festival is all about: the unknown… even if there are a slew of excellent mid-level bands to see.

Psychologist Carl Jung and his mentor Sigmund Freud had a falling out over a woman who was confined to a cell in a madhouse. Freud claimed she was incurable and, furthermore, ugly, and could not understand Jung’s fascination with her. For Freud, she was a hopeless case.

The days go by, and while, all around us, television personalities and wobble board-wielding painters are making records, computer engineers are producing albums, rich young men in pony tails are running record labels
