Peter Gabriel is a man and musician who takes multi-media to a new level. Starting his career in the early 1970s as Genesis front man, Gabriel helped organize and performed on the Amnesty USA and Amnesty International tours and pioneered innovative videos for a fresh, MTV-era. Throughout the '80s he experimented with film soundtracks, and many people remember a young John Cusack in 1989's Say Anything blasting Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" from his boombox in a powerful attempt to win back his girlfriend. In addition to releasing 10 solo albums, Gabriel founded WOMAD (World of Music, Arts and Dance), a series of international festivals and a production company, Real World.
