The concept album, contemptuously rejected by many critics as the great bore of rock, has returned, and this work of producer Alan Parsons, supported by a cast of hundreds, will doubtlessly meet the same condemnation. But Parsons pleads: "Don't judge this book by its cover."

On December 10th, 2007 the Mothership finally landed inside London’s O2 arena and 20,000 of us got on it for the reunion ride of a lifetime. The long-awaited “official” reunion of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones (the surviving members of Led Zeppelin) finally took place.

John Lennon, over here in Canada with his wife Yoko, revealed for the first time that there had been considerable disagreement between him and Paul McCartney over the couple's nude Two Virgins album cover and that up until recently John had wanted to do concert tours again but had failed to talk round the other Beatles.

The title of this album would be immodest, since it is indeed a magical accomplishment, achieved mostly through skillful songwriting and band leading, were it not that, in a pop music/rock ‘n’ roll tradition that goes back more than 50 years now
