In some ways I’m unchanged, and I still look for and sometimes find in the music exactly whatever it was I hungered after when I was 16 (proof that the world is a passionate place; a friend in the lonely night; release for my anger, confusion, idealism, desire fear and love).

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame really sucks if you care about music in the slightest. It’s a $65 million monstrosity that is the physical embodiment of the institution of rock ‘n’ roll, and that’s a lot of money plopped down in the name of an inherent contradiction.
