Results for Jeff Beck GroupJeff Beck replaced Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds and eventually went on to form his own group in 1967. A guitar hero, Beck produced hard-edged blues, reworking blues standards in a tumultuous, shattering style. Although each new incarnation of the Jeff Beck Group would end quickly, the first group, with Ron Wood and Rod Stewart, was probably the most exciting musically. The Yardbirds were in no mood for pulling punches when I called on them in their dressing room at the Ready, Steady, Go! studios in Wembley Park. Keith Relf expressed the desire that they should be "the first group to tell the truth" and that he was tired of "watered down interviews which said nothing."
