Canadian rock trio Rush emerged in the late 1960s and has enjoyed a decade-spanning rock band career. Although the group has often been overlooked by critics, Rush's fan base is as massive as their longevity as a touring hard rock band. Although they had a string of albums in the '70s, Rush's profile grew prominent in the following decade. Their 1980 album, Permanent Waves, was a major breakthrough, delivering classic rock radio staples like "Jacob's Ladder" and "Spirit of the Radio." Rush has yet to disappoint, and their fourth decade as a band sees them active in and out of the studio.
