A little background on Mr. Holcomb: He was born in Daisy, Kentucky, and was the inspiration for the term "high lonesome sound," which pretty much sums it up. He even had an album by that title. He worked in coal mines most of his life, and, although he was born in 1912, he didn't make his first record until 1958, spurred on by the folk boom of the late 50's and early 60's. Bob Dylan, Ralph Stanley, and even Eric Clapton were fans, with Clapton citing Holcomb as his favorite country musician. He died in 1978 of emphysema contracted in the coal mines.

Number 8 seems to be a version of Pretty Little Miss Out In The Garden.
