Rodney Dangerfield

Enjoy this remarkable recording of comedian and actor Rodney Dangerfield entertaining a New York City audience at the original Catch A Rising Star club location on 1st Avenue. Captured during the peak era of his career, just a month prior to "Easy Money" hitting theaters (his first starring role as an actor) and issued in edited form as parts of his Rappin' Rodney album, this is the complete and unedited taping, from his pre-set preparation to his post set announcements. In between is classic Dangerfield, best known for his catchphrase "I don't get no respect," a central theme on which the hilarious monologues of his belligerent loser persona revolved.
