My First concert Olympia Christmas 76 ,I was 13 and went to see Rod Stewart with me mum and sis. BBc filmed the concert I remembered we had crap seats and we were miles from the stage. Everone seemed to be wearing A night on the town LP cover on there head. It was a great concert. Last time I went to see Rod in concert was 2 years ago in Ottawa Canada where I live now and me and my wife had front row seats most of the time we stood. He was playing in the round in the centre of the stadiam. I couldnt believe how close I was it was truly amazing. I still think this was the best of Rod this period in the 70s.

The keyboard player on this recording was only 20-years old at the time, and had NEVER been in a band before. He managed to survive the 1976-77 world tour, but then threw in the towel and went back to being a studio musician. Apparently, the life of a rock musician isn't all that glamorous after all...

What a great band, a real tasty rock n roll show. Saw rod in the late 90s and early 2000 thought the shows were great but this band really rips it up in true rock n roll fashion. thanks fella's this one is a keeper.

You can also find a fine version of Big Bayou on a Ron Wood album "Now Look". It has several gems (Breath on me)

Nexus - "Big Bayou" was written by Floyd Gilbeau of the Flying Burrito Brothers (who released it as a single in '76). Check out a later version from them here: http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/dt/the-flying-burrito-brothers-concert/20050211-7373.html. Enjoy!
