Pearl Jam had yet to reap fame from their August, 1991 release of Ten, Nirvana's future held less than two more years with lead singer Kurt Cobain, and The Chili Peppers would soon lose guitarist John Frusciante as he battled a heroin addiction, but this New Year's Eve 1991 concert at the Cow Palace was a celebration. Look for Harry Rossit's signature smiley face, hidden in the picture.

Print Variations

The 1st printing poster was printed before the concert on glossy cover stock and measures 13" x 19 1/2".

The 2nd printing is on glossy cover stock and bears a Wolfgang's Vault notation in the lower right hand margin (not our watermark as seen in the image). It was printed in 2006 by the Bill Graham Archives LLC in a 1000 copy run and is larger than the 1st printing, measuring 21 3/4" x 32 1/2".

About Harry Rossit

A Bill Graham Presents staff artist, Harry Rossit has more than lived up to the "... New artist to watch" reviews he received in his days as an emerging artist. Designing posters since at least 1991, his work is highly creative and can include a detailed cartoon image, a performer's portrait sketch, or require 3-D glasses for viewing. Rossit has been known to include his own face or those of friends in posters and always hides a yellow smiley-face in the composition, features of his sometimes quirky art that keeps the viewer scanning his posters for details far beyond the "who-when-where" facts.
