Possibly the world's most legendary troubadour, Ramblin' Jack Elliott is one of the last surviving links to the great folk traditions of America. With a life spent traveling, performing, and recording, Elliot has endured as one of the most colorful and oddball characters in all of American music. Born in 1931 as Elliott Charles Adnopoz in Brooklyn, New York, he became enamored with westerns as a child, regularly attending rodeos, devouring books by cowboy novelist Will James, and listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio.     I love this - either Ramblin' Jack didn't make many records, or they weren't promoted well - otherwise we would be more familiar with this great artist...

    i always heard the name rambling jack but now thans to you guys i m listening to him. can hear dylan in him or him in dylan. especial;ly stackerlee and some banter onstage

    I have not read the concert summary above, but see that Allen Ginsberg's last name has been misspelled in the summary as "Ginsburg".
