California natives Dawes put a modern spin on the Laurel Canyon sound that Jackson Browne helped shape in the 70's. There is clearly a mutual respect amongst these two artists, as Jackson has collaborated with Dawes several times over the past few years, most recently at the 2012 Newport Folk Festival.
