Playlist Description

Dr. John (aka Mac Rebennack) brings his Professor Longhair-inspired N'awlins flavor and singular brand of hoodoo-funk to bear on energized sets at New York's Bottom Line in 1978 and the Palladium in 1981. He is also featured as a special guest with Levon Helm & The RCO All-Stars (featuring Paul Butterfield and member of Booker T & the MG's) in a 1978 concert at the New Orleans Superdome.
