Boogie Woogie Sampler

Playlist Description

The boogie woogie piano style first appeared in blues and jazz tunes around the beginning of the 1900s, with its eight-to-the-bar walking bassline perfect for inducing people to dance. From there, the style was adapted for other instruments and used in other genres of music, eventually rearing its exciting head in early rock and roll via country, gospel and rockabilly. Enjoy the boogie!
