Concert Summary

Pink Floyd's 1977 tour is widely considered to be one of the band's most memorable. Following the truly massive sales of Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here, the Animals album had not been as commercially successful, but the group's popularity was at an all-time peak. The tour sold out arenas and stadiums across North America and Europe, eclipsing all previous scale and attendance records. The tour was also the first since 1972 that the group did not use backing singers, with the only augmentation to the…entire summary

I saw this tour at MSG in NYC. In addition to the great music, I remember WYWH was played to an animated film projected on a circular screen above the stage. One of the great concerts I've been to.

I was at this show also, way high up in the arena, and way too high to remember anything as well. but i know i had a good time and i know I saw a flying pig.

I was there too. This is the second half of the Animals concert. After performing Animals they played WYWH, then some of Dark Side, See Emily Play, and Interstellar Overdrive if I am not mistaken. Outstanding concert as usual.

I was at the WYWH/Animals tour Summer '77 in Tampa and have to say the sound and performance as I remember it was nearly note perfect to the original Records, not nearly as much Jamming/riffing as heard on this recording. It was my Historic Favorite Concert!!
    P.S. > I was the guy with the Kite pre-show! ;-)

I only saw them once. But it was this show. My best friend from high school and I somehow scored floor seats. Still the best concert I've ever attended.

I always thought this was a great concert but until I read the review of it here I was not sure if it was the show or the Acid. I missed the Dark side of the moon tour but I was able to catch the Wall show in LA. I liked this show better. Since there was only 2 performances of the Wall if Wolfgang can pull that rabbit out of their hats we will not be worthy.
