Concert Summary

This is the second show taped on December 10th, at the Tower Theater in Philly, and is a complete performance (as opposed to the early show, which was missing key tracks such as "In The Air" and "Can't Hurry Love.") This show includes most of the material from Collins' first two solo albums, Face Value and Hello, I Must Be Going!

Collins had first built his career as the drummer for the popular British art rock band, Genesis. When lead vocalist Peter Gabriel departed for a solo career after 1975's Lamb Liesentire summary

The stress on his voice is evident having played an earlier show, but this does not distract from the great performance given.

Mr. Anonymous...The great Philly bum note is what Phil's most famously remembered for when it comes to mistakes. Also if you watch the Missed Again video, Phil also forgets to come in lip synching with the vocals and laughs about it as he looks over at Tony and Mike. This was classic Phil. Mistakes happened quite often as well as other suprises even to Phil. If you watch Three Sides Live Video before the encore even Phil says to Mike, "I don't know what happened but my voice just got better". Even today Phil still performs the same way as day one on vocals. Your friend Phil always...Don

Phil's voice is "week" because he did a bunch of shows in a row. He powered through and gave a great performance anyway.
